‘Anchorman 2’ Set Robbed of $300K Worth of Copper

Thieves struck the movie set of “Anchorman 2” in Atlanta last month and made off with $300,000 worth of copper wiring, reports TMZ. That’s a lot of wire! They also managed to steal four Apple computers.

Paramount Worldwide Productions rented out a warehouse and turned it into the set of the sequel to “Anchor Man: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,” the hit comedy starring Will Ferrel. Police said the thieves apparently entered the warehouse through a rear garage door and used a winch to pull out wire from the walls.

The burglary is one in a string of break-ins in the area in recent weeks. The latest robbery occurred on Monday morning less than half a mile from where the movie is being filmed.

A $5,000 reward is offered to anyone who can help police find the culprits–sounds like a job fit only for Rob Burgundy and his news team side kicks!
