3. There Were Rumors About A “Planet Hulk” Movie
Last month, entertainment website Latino Review reported that Marvel Studios had a film based off of the “Planet Hulk” storyline in the works. When Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige spoke to MTV about the possibilities of such a film, he had this to say:
I don’t think there’s a lot that we couldn’t do someday, as the cinematic universe continues to grow and expand and get as big as the comic book universe. ‘Planet Hulk’ is a cool story. ‘World War Hulk’ is a cool story. I think there’s pitfalls of continuity-overload, and mythology getting so dense that it almost collapses in on itself. It happens every few decades or so in the comics. Apart from that, I’d say everything is on the table. Do I think Hulk can carry a movie and be as entertaining as he was in ‘Avengers’? I do believe that. I do believe he absolutely could. We certainly are not even going to attempt that until ‘Avengers 2.’ So there’s a lot of time to think about it.
4. Director Joss Whedon Squashed All Rumors of a “Planet Hulk” Film
When IGN got in contact with director Joss Whedon, he debunked the rumors of a “Planet Hulk” film with a few words:
Well I’m really not supposed to comment, but no, that’s nonsense.
5. The Previous Hulk Movies Did Good…But Not Great
The New York Daily News reported that director Ang Lee’s 2003 film adaptation grossed a total of $245 million worldwide. Director Louis Leterrier’s 2008’s Hulk film grossed $263.4 million worldwide. These number are considered good by Marvel Studios, but not up to the standards of its more successful superhero movies.
6. Two Actors Handled The Role of the Hulk Before Mark Ruffalo
Eric Bana played the role of the comic book character in the 2003 movie adaptation and in 2008, Edward Norton took over the role. Mark Ruffalo then played the character in 2012’s The Avengers.
7. Marvel’s Spider-Man And Wolverine Are Returning To The Big Screen

9. The Avengers 2 Will Come Out in 2015
