Michael Buble Acapella in New York Subway: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know


Canadian crooner Michael Buble made a surprise appearance in a New York City subway station today, singing a new version of an old hit. Here’s what you need to know about the acapella performance.


1) Naturally 7

The 37-year-old Juno host was joined by the group Naturally 7, a seven member acapella group, to perform a rendition of the Jackson 5 classic “Who’s Lovin’ You.”


2) West 66th Street

The ensemble performed acapella on the platform at the West 66th Street subway stop in New York City.


3) New Album

Buble’s version of the Jackson 5 classic, “Who’s Lovin’ You” can be heard on the Grammy-winner’s new CD, “To Be Loved” which was released earlier this week.


4) New York Feelin’

“That is the coolest thing ever. That is when you know you’ve made it,” said Buble follwoing the performance, quipping that he felt like a “real New Yorker.”

“Singing in the New York subway is something that’s been done for years and years and years and I feel like it’s the most authentic, organic way to make music.”


5) Baby Talk


Later the name day, Buble appeared on “Live with Kelly & Michael” to discuss his impending fatherhood. The proud papa-to-be shared with the daytime talk duo that he had secretly hoped for a daughter before finding out he’s welcoming a son.
