Reports came out earlier this morning regarding the death of female wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Mae Young. Here’s all the details you need to know about her failing health and the news sorrounding her rumored passing.
1. It Was Reported That She Died At The Age of 90
On the morning of January 9, 2013, Mike Mooneyham of the Post and Courier reported that Mae Young passed away in her home located in Columbia, South Carolina. She was 90 years old. Mae Young occupied her Columbia home with The Fabulous Moolah and Katie Glass, which was a living arrangement that lasted until the passing of Moolah in 2007.
2. It Was Reported That She Was Taken Off Of Life Support The Night Before Her Passing

3. She Had Been in the Hospital Due To A Failing Kidney
On December 30, 2013, Mae Young entered the hospital. For the whole week before her death, Mae Young had been put on death watch. She had been under hospice care in her Columbia home due to a failing kidney. As the week wore one, more somber news of her depleting health were released. As time went on, Mae Young’s impending death became more of a prevalent possibility. However, the news of her death turned out to be false. However, her health is still in grave danger. 4. She’s A WWE Hall of Famer Who Was Honored in 2008
Mae Young entered the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008. The hype package behind her induction can be seen above. She entered the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2004. Some of her other wrestling accolades are as follows:
