Cher and the Wu-Tang Clan have little in common, but they’ve gotten together to work on a new offering of tracks. Fans of both artists may be shocked to hear this newfound development, but they’d better learn one thing: Wu-Tang Clan (and Cher) ain’t nothin’ to f— with!”
Here’s everything you need to know about the musical collaboration between these two polar opposites.
1. She’s Set to Appear on Two Tracks
Cher will be featured on the upcoming top-secret Wu-Tang double-album entitled The Wu- Once Upon A Time in Shaolin. According to Rolling Stone, Cher can be heard singing over one of the song’s featuring Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah. At the end of one of the tracks played during a video posted by Forbes, Cher can actually be overheard singing the lines, “Wu-Tang, baby. They rock the world.”
A representative for Cher confirmed it was indeed Cher singing over the track by releasing the following statement:
She recorded her parts separately, so I don’t believe there was direct interaction.
She reportedly sings the same line on another song who’s name hasn’t be revealed as of press time.
2. Cher Goes Under a Familiar Nickname for Her Inclusion on the Album
On the official website for the album, the following featured name can be seen as one of the guest appearances planned to appear – “Bonnie Jo Mason.” Interestingly, this nickname alludes to the name Cher used when she released her 1st single alongside Ringo called “Ringo, I Love You.”

3. This Album is Being Sold for a Very High Price
This major Wu-Tang Clan double album won’t be as easily obtained as the last few albums from this group of legendary rappers. Only own person will be able to claim the ownership of this album by paying a very hefty fee. So far, the group’s head-runner RZA has received a few million dollar offers for the LP.
While speaking with Rolling Stone, RZA noted that he’s been receiving several e-mails from folks looking to obtain the album for themselves:
Offers came in at $2 million, somebody offered $5 million. I’ve been getting a lot of emails – some from people I know, some from people I don’t know, and they’re also emailing other members of my organization.
4. Wu-Tang Has Another Album in the Works
Hardcore fans of the Wu-Tang Clan will be able to get their hands on a mass produced album called A Better Tomorrow. Most of the recording for this new album took place at the famous Wu Mansion and the Wu-Mansion West. Previously unheard verses from deceased Wu-Tang Clan member Ol’ Dirty Bastard will make an appearance on the album.
5. There’s an Internal Conflict Between Wu-Tang Clan Members RZA and Raekwon
Even though the Wu-Tang Clan are prepared to release two major albums in the near future, there are still some lingering issues hampering the musical progress of some members within the group. Most notably, Raekwon spoke to Rolling Stone and revealed that he was on strike from the group. His reasons for temporarily stepping away from the group stem from his problems with RZA supplying “mediocre s—” for the new album. Raekwon also stated that new contracts needed to be negotiated for him before he would make an appearance on A Better Tomorrow. RZA responded to Raekwon by giving him a 30-day ultimatum to agree to RZA’s terms. Thankfully, Raekwon and RZA have reached a truce.
