1. Callie’s Adoption Is on Track

Callie’s biological dad, Robert Quinn, played by Kerr Smith, allowed her to continue with the adoption process by signing the papers.

He offered to have a fundraiser/garden party for Rita, played by Rosie O’Donnell.

At the fundraiser, Rita and Callie have some alone time, and Rita asks her why she doesn’t want a relationship with her father.

“It’s quite obvious Callie- he loves you…It doesn’t take very long to love you Callie…Besides you’re his daughter…So he never had the chance to be a father to you,” she says.

2. Mariana & Jesus Get Into a Fight Over Ana

In the kitchen after dinner, Mariana and Jesus are with their moms, discussing Ana.

“You don’t have to see her,” Mariana tells Jesus.

“Don’t worry, I’m not,” he replies.

Jesus gets a tattoo and Mariana spots it, threatening to tell their moms if he doesn’t cooperate and go to visit Ana’s house.

When the children are at Ana’s house, she reveals that she comprised a list of how she let her children down and told them that she was so happy they found great moms.

“…I loved getting high more than I loved you,” she told them through sobs.

“I feel nothing..I look at you and you’re nothing. You’re just a very sad stranger,” Mariana tells Ana.

Jesus steps in and tries to make Ana feel better saying, “Don’t cry, she didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.”

3. There’s a Fundraiser for Girls United Where Callie Reveals Who Her Dad Is

Prior to the party, Callie doesn’t want people to know that she is Robert’s biological daughter.

Sophia doesn’t understand why, since they look alike and thinks that people will notice the strong resemblance at the fundraiser.

At the event, Callie gets up and speaks, explaining that she was once at Girls United.

She gives a special shout-out to Rita, saying “You’ve given me the courage to embrace everything that I am.”

The earlier conversation with Rita gives Callie the impetus to reveal who her biological father is.

“So I want to acknowledge Robert Quinn for not only being a really nice guy, but for being my father…I’m really grateful to have him in my life now,” she tells the crowd.

4. Sophia Tells Callie She Ripped Up the Adoption Papers

The night before the event, Sophia and Callie have a sleepover and discuss boys and music.

When Sophia asks Callie if she broke up with Wyatt, she said, “I don’t know.”

They also talk about the accident that killed Callie’s mother. “We’ll always be sisters,” Callie reassures her.

After Callie’s speech at the fundraiser, Sophia tells her that they can still be a family because she ripped the papers up her father had signed. “It’s not too late for us to be a family,” she says, hopeful.

Robert intervenes and tells Callie that he loves her and can’t go through with signing the papers again.

“I can’t sign the papers. It was the hardest thing I have ever done…I love you,” he says through tears.

Heartbroken, Callie storms out and tells her father she will never love him and calls her sister a spoiled brat.

5. Brandon and Callie Kiss at the End

As Callie runs out of the Quinn household, Brandon spots her and follows her out.

“No matter what they can’t make you live with them. We’ll still be your family,” he tells her.

They gaze into each others’ eyes and share a passionate kiss.
