New television show Stalker premieres tonight on CBS and we’ve got all the spoilers we could find to let you know what you’re in for …

Christian Post writes:

Lt. Beth Davis is seen as a “strong, focused and an expert in the field, driven by her traumatic personal experience as a victim.” Larsen, on the other hand, has been ousted from his previous post due to his “confidence, strong personality and questionable behavior that has landed him in trouble before.” He has yet to prove himself valuable to Lt. Davis and to the team.

CBS’ series synopsis is this:

Stalker stars Maggie Q and Golden Globe Award winner Dylan McDermott in a psychological thriller about detectives who investigate stalking incidents – including voyeurism, cyber harassment and romantic fixation – for the Threat Assessment Unit of the LAPD. Det. Jack Larsen is a recent transfer to the Unit from New York City’s homicide division, whose confidence, strong personality and questionable behavior has landed him in trouble before – but whose past behavior may also prove valuable in his new job. His boss, Lt. Beth Davis, is strong, focused and an expert in the field, driven by her traumatic personal experience as a victim. With the rest of their team, young but eager Det. Ben Caldwell and deceptively smart Det. Janice Lawrence, Larsen and Davis assess the threat level of cases and respond before the stalking and intimidation spirals out of control, all while trying to keep their personal obsessions at bay.

– These are the main characters: Maggie Q as Lieutenant Beth Davis, Dylan McDermott as Detective Jack Larsen, Victor Rasuk as Detective Ben Caldwell, Mariana Klaveno as Detective Janice Lawrence, and Elisabeth Röhm as Deputy District Attorney Amanda Tate.

– The reviews of the show have not been favorable. Wikipedia reports:

Stalker has provoked near universal disgust and derision among critics at the aggregator site, Rotten Tomatoes. The consensus there calls it “chock full of perverted subjects and ugly storylines, making it hard to watch even for those who like to watch.” Maureen Ryan of The Huffington Post called it “exploitative, misogynist trash”.

– The titles of the first three episodes are “Pilot”, “Whatever Happened to Baby James?”, and “Manhunt”. The plot of the first episode reads:

Lt. Beth Davis and Detective Jack Larson seek out a stalker with an affinity for fire; Beth meets a student who says his former roommate is harassing him.

The second episode’s synopsis reads:

Beth, Jack and the TAU investigate when a stalker breaks into a teenage girl’s home and realize she is not the target; Perry visits Beth at work.
