Swift, 24, and Healy, 25, met in October and swapped digits.

In a radio interview with Shazam Top 20, he said, “I met Taylor Swift, that was really nice. We exchanged numbers. Let’s see what happens. “I mean bloody hell, what am I going to do? Go out with Taylor Swift? She’s a sensation, I wouldn’t say no.”

Days after the concert, she was photographed in L.A. wearing the band’s t shirt.

This is especially meaningful since Healy had already worn a t shirt promoting Swift’s album 1989 at a rock concert.

However, in an interview with E! News in late October, she said, “I’m really happy about the fact that being single doesn’t feel like being alone. I have love in my life, I just don’t have a relationship, and that feels really natural right now.”

3. He Was a Coke Addict

In an interview with The Guardian, he confessed:

I wasn’t a heroin addict – I never lost it to heroin – but I was a coke addict big-time. I was 18, I dabbled in everything. I wanted to be Jack Kerouac. I thought I was as decadent as all of that. I thought: the world will catch up. And that stems from this: I remember once, I was sat in front of the TV – I must have been about six – and my dad’s mates are all welders. They were sat behind me watching a video of Michael Jackson. And they were expressing their opinions about how alien he was, how unrelatable he was. And I remember thinking to myself: ‘Well, I’m a lot more like him than I am like you.

In his song “Heart Out,” he sings, “Your obsession with rocks and brown/ And f**king the whole town’ … I’m always talking about me, really.”
In an interview with The Guardian, he said that he’s changed and can see women differently. “I’ve only recently been able to develop platonic relationships with women. My obsession with femininity has changed and I’ve got a more adult perspective on it,” he explained.

Through his position as an influential rockstar, he hopes to promote gender equality. He told the British Humanist Association,

“…the one responsibility I believe that I have… is to stand up against ideas that promote inequality… The empowerment of women maps directly onto the growth of secularism and the reduction of power of religion. And that’s what I’m about.”

The band was formed in Manchester and Healy is the frontman. Along with bandmates Adam Hann, George Daniel, and Ross MacDonald, who all met in high school, The 1975 released their debut album in August of 2013.

Their debut self-tilted album reached #1 on the Official Albums Chart in the UK.

He told The Guardian, “Our band is about the experience. It’s a big, sonic experience. And if that makes you feel uncomfortable, well that’s fine. Go and see some other bands. You don’t go and see our band and say: ‘I hope it’s rawer. I hope they’re like the Stooges.’ Bollocks to that.”

5. His Parents Are Both Actors

He is the oldest son of actress Denise Welch and actor Tim Healy.

His parents divorced and he told The Guardian about that experience and how he was inspired to write a song because of it:

…my band took off, my family fell apart. My parents got divorced. It’s kinda good – no good marriage ever ended in divorce. If two people had a really good thing going on and they had to get divorced, that would be really sad. But that’s never happened once. That’s fine. That was a long time coming. December of last year I went on tour and they sold that house. I went home for two days to move out of my house, and I wrote and recorded “Is There Somebody Who Can Watch Me?”, the last song on the album, about that moment.
