‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5, Mid-Season Premiere: Highlights & Spoilers

4. Rick and Michonne Made the Decision to Go to D.C. With the Rest of the Group

Walking Dead Season 5 Midseason Premier

Michonne and Rick could be seen carrying most of the goods they found around the private neighborhood. Glenn entered the fray while Michonne pleaded with both men to stay where they’re at. Rick wasn’t so sure about that option and soon Michonne came upon a large number of body parts strewn over the forest area. Glenn noted that it didn’t matter if they killed Beth’s killer or not. Michonne then mentioned another plan – going to Washington, D.C. to finally find someplace to survive. As they spoke, more walkers made they way towards them. Rick then decided that this was the right move to make.

Soon, all three of them heard screaming the background. They ran off into the distance to find Noah being targeted by more Walkers. Rick, Glenn and Michonne fought off every zombie that stood in their way and saved Noah. Noah then told about Tyreese, who was still bleeding out inside the home him and Noah found earlier.

5. Tyreese’s Arm Got Removed by the Survivors Who Came to Save Him

Back in the home, the radio began playing once again. Soon, a shot of Beth playing the guitar and singing was seen. More passing shots of the places where the group ventured once before hit the screen. Tyreese once again came into contact with the dead individuals he spotted before his tussle with the zombie. Tyreese could be seen speaking with his former allies, as well as the folks he fought against alongside the group.

Tyreese tried to get back on his feet while still listening to the words of all those who died. Tyreese explained that he had to do what he had to do to earn his keep. He told The Governor that it’s simply not over for him. Tyreese noted that he kept listening to the news of the zombie outbreak and stayed informed to do his part and never give up hope. The Governor pushed Tyreese back down into the arms of the two little girls. The two little girls turned out to really be Rick and Glenn, who ended up working with Michonne to cut Tyreese’s arm off.

6. Tyreese Was Unable to Make it…

More shots flooded the screen, such as the discovery of Tyreese, the survivors helping him and the invasion of more zombies into Noah’s home. The show then stayed on shots of Rick and everyone fending off the undead that smashed their way through the front gate. Everyone soon made their way out while more scenes of the past began to transpire. The group struggled to get Tyreese out of the barbed wire in the forest while a zombie trailed behind them. The group got him away while more shots of the dead friends/enemies of the group began to play.

Rick and his group tried to drive off, but the car’s wheels got stuck in the road. The car soon moved, but it smashed right into a car in front of it. Suddenly, dozens of zombie heads and bodes slammed on top on the windshield. Rick soon drove off with everyone in tow. While Tyreese laid in the car, he saw all of his former friends inside the vehicle with him.

The scene then faded to black and returned with the following shot of the group stopping on the side of the road. They laid Tyreese on the street. It turned out Father Gabriel was presiding over the burial of Tyreese instead of Beth. The entire group stood by and helped lay their deceased friend to rest. Sasha and Daryl were present and soon Rick handled the task of burying Tyreese.
