“Bailando” almost didn’t happen. Delgado told La Opinion that “Iglesias didn’t really like the song and that they didn’t finish writing it.Then Randy and I took over and finished the song, we put in the last touch and we made a video clip in Cuba and we showed it to him.” After it was shown to Iglesias, he called Delgado. Delgado didn’t know it was the Spanish singer on the phone and he hanged up on him. But no hard feelings. Delgado had no idea Iglesias would be the one calling him directly. At the end, “Bailando” was born, which was almost titled “Fisica o Quimica”. “This song is very important because it launched us to the world. We have always been limited to work locally and in Europe, and we perform in cuban parties. By recording “Bailando”, I think is the song that has launch us to the world. Now everybody knows Gente de Zona, and of course, the change is huge.”
4. Gente de Zona will be Working with Elvis Crespo
Gente de Zona is recording a new album in which they will feature Elvis Crespo, Jeancarlos Canela and Pitbull.
5. Gente de Zona are a Latin Grammy Winner Duo
The duo performed at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, on September 2014. They also won three Latin Grammy Awards, the same year.
