In the beginning of the show, the kids revealed the dream they would like to fulfill by winning the singing competition Me Pongo de Pie. The presenter Galilea Montijo asked each parent to read their kids letter, in which they wrote their dream to fulfill if they win.
Their dreams:
Angelito Garcia would like to pay for his grandfathers diabetes treatment.
Franco Moro suffered an accident on his shoulder, 12 years ago, and he still feels pain. Therefore, his son’s dream is to pay for his father operation on his shoulder.
Max Cervante’s dream is to pay for his father’s back therapy and also wishes to play soccer with him again.
Nartoomid Barraza would like to win the competition to be able to pay off his parents house and built in an extra bedroom for his baby sister.
ROUND ONE
Jose Luis Garcia sang with Rio Roma
“Ves”
Points: 117
Franco Moro sang with Noel Schajris
“Hoy es un buen dia”
Points: 119
Anecdote: Schajris interrupted Franco Moro while he was singing arguing that his voice was not a hundred percent because he was emotional about his son’s letter. His action created a disagreement between Cristian Castro and Schajris. “I’m very upset… You were very rude with Franco, you were rude to the competition, this not permitted, you understand,” said a Castro. Therefore, the judges subtracted points from the Moro family.
This is not the first time Schajris gets into an argument with one of the judges. Check this out:
