Marvel actually pulled it off…again. And by that we mean they’ve managed to release another solid dose of blockbuster superhero action.
Ant-Man was a joy to sit through. Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly and Corey Stoll provided us with an action-packed heist film. It just so happened to also feature an amazing array of miniature escapades by the Ant-Man himself. Just imagine the concept of Ocean’s Eleven turned up to a crazier level thanks to insane special effects.
If you’ve already seen it, then you know there were some hilarious and inspirational quotes heard throughout. We’re here to remind you of the best ones.
– While speaking to Scott Lang:
Hank Pym: Second chances don’t come around all that often. I suggest you take a really close look at it. This is your chance to earn that look in your daughter’s eyes, to become the hero that she already thinks you are.
Scott Lang: My days of breaking into places and stealing stuff are over! What do you need me to do?
Hank Pym: …I want you to break in a place and steal some stuff.
Scott Lang: …makes sense.
– Hank chose to give Scott some much needed words of wisdom to get him prepared for his mission:
Hank Pym: Second chances don’t come around all that often. I suggest you take a really close look at it. This is your chance to earn that look in your daughter’s eyes, to become the hero that she already thinks you are.
– Scott first discovered the powers of the Ant-Man suit while stuck inside a shower. Hank provided Scott with some running commentary for Scott once the water started flowing:
Hank Pym: It’s a trial by fire, Scott… or in this case, water.
[the bathtub starts filling up with water and Scott is forced to adapt to his current predicament]
Hank Pym: Guess you’re tougher than you thought.
Hank Pym: You give godlike powers to everyone, it’s gonna be chaos!
Hope Van Dyne: So how do we stop him?
Hank Pym: I know a guy.
– Hope provided Scott with a hard-hitting lesson on how to punch as the Ant-Man:
Hope Van Dyne: Now, the suit has power, and you have to learn how to control it and these are your greatest allies. When you’re small, you have superhuman strength. You’re like a bullet so you need to learn how to punch.
Scott Lang: You want to show me how to punch? Show me how to punch?
[Hope clocks Scott in the nose with an awesome punch]
Hope Van Dyne: That’s how you punch.
– Hank and Hope were helping Scott train in his newly fitted suit. His main goal? Shrink, rush through a door’s keyhole and enlarge himself on the other end of it:
Hank Pym: In the right hands, the relationship between man and the suit is symbiotic. The suit has power. The man harnesses that power. You need to be skillful, agile and, above all, you need to be fast. You should be able to shrink and grow on a dime so your size always suits your needs. Now dive through the keyhole, Scott. You charge big, you dive small then you emerge big.
[Scott makes a run for it, shrinks and smashes right into the door in front of him]
Scott Lang: Ow!
Hope Van Dyne: Useless.
Hank Pym: This is not some cute tech like the Iron Man suit!
[Scott takes a hard tumble right into a door]
Hank Pym: We’re doomed.
Scott Lang: Sorry I’m late, I was saving the world. You know how it is.
Cassie Lang: Are you trying to find my daddy?
Paxton: Uh, yeah I am, sweetheart. I just want your daddy to be safe.
Cassie Lang: Hope you don’t catch him.
