On tonight’s episode of So You Think You Can Dance, some contestants move forward, while there is still an elimination looming … Now, if you don’t want one of your favorite dancers to go home, this season, you have the opportunity to participate in a “Twitter Save.” You, as a voter, are able to keep one dancer from Team Stage and one dancer from Team Street safe from elimination. After the bottom three dancers from each team perform, viewers can use their Fan Save hashtag #Save[contestant’s first name] and then the results will be announced live on the air.
Kate Harpootlian, who is one of the dancers this season, told The State about her experiences on the show thus far, explaining:
It’s been one of the craziest, most chaotic, hardest things I’ve ever done in my professional career. It’s working the craziest hours, doing things you’re not comfortable with … I don’t think people understand that as a contemporary dancer, I’ve just been doing contemporary dancing. And on this show you’re expected to do everything. Now I’m doing hip-hop or ballroom or whatever they throw at me each week.
