Oh, Hakeem. It’s only going to get worse.
The youngest Lyon brother (Bryshere Y. Gray), still reeling from his kidnapping ordeal just a few episodes ago, goes toe-to-toe with his father after Lucious (Terrence Howard) releases a rap by Freda (Bre-Z) challenging Hakeem as his heir.
That’s pretty rough, Lucious.
Not to be outdone by Freda, Hakeem responds with his own rap challenge and it’s enough to put Lyon Dynasty’s future in danger. Or, as we all know it, just another day on Empire. Check out the latest clip for Wednesday night’s episode here:
The latest episode of the FOX drama, titled “My Bad Parts,” will find the stakes raised on both sides as Hakeem and Freda’s rap battle puts the young singer’s future on the line. If he loses to Freda, she will give him back to Empire Entertainment. In other words, Hakeem better win or he could single-handedly, destroy Cookie’s (Taraji P. Henson) work with Lyon Dynasty.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in Empire, Jamal (Jussie Smollett) will look to get a big-time sponsorship deal and his relationship with Cookie will only get stronger as the two continue to work on his new music together. Of course, Lucious won’t take to that news very well.
Cookie is also still dealing with Laz (Adam Rodriguez) as she tries to determine who he really is. Hakeem, who was kidnapped by Laz’s gang, will call him out for causing trouble and that’s going to spark some serious on-screen drama.
Ready for one more tidbit?
Vivica A. Fox is slated to make her Empire debut on Wednesday night as Cookie’s sister Candace. We already know how upfront Cookie is. Expect the same, if not more, from her sister. This one will be fun.
Empire airs at 9 p.m. ET Wednesday on FOX.
