Tonight is the annual event of the tree lighting in Rockefeller Center. It’s the 83rd holiday extravaganza Christmas In Rockefeller Center and people from across the country gather to watch some of the biggest stars in music celebrate the occasion. According to NBC, this year’s Christmas tree is a 78-foot tall Norway Spruce from Gardiner, New York, aged 80 years and weighing approximately 10 tons. And, according to NJ.com, 30,000 bulbs are being used with over five miles of electrical wire.
