WATCH: Vin Diesel Sings Tribute to Paul Walker at People’s Choice Awards

Tonight was the 2016 People’s Choice Awards and Furious 7 won two awards – Favorite Action Movie and Favorite Film. Upon receiving the awards, Vin Diesel became a bit choked up and started to sing the song “See You Again” that was featured in the movie to remember his beloved friend Paul Walker.

In Vin Diesel’s speech, he stated that:

You’d be amazed by what you can do with love. You’d be amazed how powerful a force that is. When we didn’t want to come back to filming when the tragedy was too heavy, it was the love of everyone combined that saw us through to the end. And now I’m standing here, with all of you telling me this was your favorite film of the year.

He also said:

You know, as I was coming up here — I always do this, I say, ‘I’m not gonna get emotional about winning these awards,’ and I was cool while I was sitting in my seat, and then, they handed me two awards — one for favorite action movie and one for favorite film. You all thought that this was your favorite film. So, I think of Dom and Brian, and I start to think of Paul.

At the end of his acceptance speech, he then of course sang to his late friend, saying, “It’s been a long day without you, my friend and I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again. We’ve come a long way from where we began.”

It was a truly touching and sad moment.
