Tonight is the finale of The Bachelor 2016, with the After the Final Rose special airing directly after the show. There were rumors that Higgins could actually tie the knot on the special with his own pastor from home. However, Higgins and Bushnell have said they want to date a little before having a wedding. Even so, Bushnell has confirmed that she is moving to Denver, Colorado to be with Higgins.
The official synopsis of the special, written by ABC, reads:
Immediately following the dramatic Season Finale, emotions run high as Ben sits down with Chris Harrison – live – to discuss his final two women of the season: Jo Jo, the beautiful real estate developer, and Lauren B., the stunning flight attendant. The Bachelor takes us back to Jamaica, where he spent the emotional last days of his journey, telling both women that he loved them – a “Bachelor” first. Both ladies are back to sit with Ben to talk about the sensational outcome. It’s the live, unpredictable ending to his adventure to find everlasting true love. Does Chris Harrison have a trick up his sleeve? Anything could happen! In addition, the new Bachelorette will be revealed, live, on “The Bachelor: After the Final Rose.”
In addition to sitting down with the newly engaged Ben Higgins, Reality Steve reports that the new Bachelorette is NOT the girl we have all thought her to be … Caila Quinn was originally reported to be the next Bachelorette star, even being shown filming in her home town, but Reality Steve says the rug was pulled out from under her just a couple days ago. Producers are said to have changed their minds, making Joelle “JoJo” Fletcher the next star. If this is true, then this means that Lauren Bushnell is, indeed, the winner of The Bachelor 2016.
On the After the Final Rose special, there are often huge, scandalous moments that occur. In the past, Jason Mesnick changed his mind about the winner and broke up with her on the special, choosing the runner-up contestant. Juan Pablo Galavis got into an argument with host Chris Harrison. And then there was the time when Nick Viall revealed to the world that he had sex with Bachelorette Andi Dorfman. Unfortunately, we’re not sure if there will be any record-breaking events going down this time.
