1. Carol Does a Wonderful Deed for the People of Alexandria

Carol is taking count of all the provisions within the kitchen while some cheery music is playing in the background. She heads out into the woods to pick up chestnuts (she cuts down a Walker during her trek outside). After getting out of the shower, she dons a new shirt and takes out some fresh chestnuts out of the oven. Carol finishes baking some cookies, which she decides to hand out to the people of Alexandria. She meets up with one of her neighbors and shares some of her last batch of cookies with him before word goes around that Rick and his group have returned.

Rick alerts everyone to a meeting that’s going down in the Church. He lets Carol know that they’re going to be heading into a new fight. Carol looks on with a worried face. Morgan shows up behind her. It’s been a good while since they’ve spoken to each other. Carol kept quiet about what Morgan did and what happened between the both of them. Carol wants no part of this conversation and decides to tell Morgan to leave her alone. Carol leaves one last cookie on the grave of Sam Anderson.

2. Rick and Morgan Disagree on How to Approach The Saviors

Alexandria’s community looks on and listen to Rick as he gives them the lowdown on everything covered in the last episode. Rick assures them that they have to help the Hilltop Colony and make a decision towards their next battle. Morgan gets up and asks Rick if they can truly defeat The Saviors. Rick lets him know that it can be done, but Morgan wishes to speak with them instead of killing them first. Rick objects to Morgan’s plea for a conversation with The Saviors, but Morgan stays adamant about his stance. Aaron agrees with Rick, Morgan takes a set and Rick makes it clear that taking The Saviors out is their best bet.

When nightfall strikes, Carol can be seen in her bedroom. She takes out a personal notebook and jots down a few things. In another house, Glenn and Maggie speak about what they should do regarding this new situation. Carol walks along the streets smoking a cigarette and spots the special neighbor she gave a cookie to from before. Both of them speak about the next day’s dangerous mission. The neighbor realizes just how dangerous how Carol can be and knowns she can handle all the tough missions that come her way. He lets her know that she’s like a mother to everyone in Alexandria and to him she’s something “more special.”

Rosita walks in on Abraham packing up. He notifies her that he’s decided to leave Alexandria altogether. Rosita gives him hell for not letting her know why he’s getting out of Alexandria. Abraham tells her that he thought she was the only girl left on Earth, but he was wrong. Rosita cries to herself for a bit when suddenly Eugene makes things even more awkward. She shuts the door and cries to herself. Rick and his group go over the floor plan of The Saviors in order to come up with a game plan. Tara and Denise share a warm moment before the next day arrives. Rick and his group continue to go over how they should approach The Saviors’ home base. Rick tells everyone that they’re going to give them Gregory’s head somehow, someway.

3. Rick and Jesus Obtain a Severed Zombie Head in Order to Fool The Saviors Into Thinking They Killed Gregory

Several vehicles can be seen traveling along a barren road. Rick and his support exit the cars with their weapons in hand. Rick tells them what’s next and then heads off to have some small talk with Father Gabriel. Rosita meets up with Carol and speaks with her about everything Morgan did beforehand. Rosita makes it clear that Morgan is wrong for what he did, but she promises not to tell anyone about the accident with The Wolves member. Carol looks ahead and see Maggie in the distance. Glenn and Heath head into the forest to chop down some wandering Walkers. Afterwards, they talk about the dangerous events that are soon to follow their conversation. Glenn admits that he’s nervous about this whole ordeal.

Rosita walks up on Rick and everyone speaking about the next part of their plan. Rick makes it clear that they may need to retreat if The Saviors appear more dangerous than they’ve been told. Carol asks Rick why Maggie is here, even though she’s pregnant. Rick lets her know that it was her decision to be out here and allows Carol to stay by her side all night. Rick and Jesus choose to use of the severed zombie heads they just obtained to make it look like they killed Gregory. Rick punches one of the zombie heads in order to make it look like Gregory as much as possible. The messenger from the Hilltop Colony they brought along tells Rick he’s way more scarier than The Saviors.

4. Rick and His Group Head Into The Saviors Settlement as Their Plan Comes to Fruition

The plan goes into effect when nighttime strikes. The messenger from the Hilltop Colony drives to the front of The Saviors settlement. Two guards show up and check out the severed head to see if it’s really Gregory. The guards are convinced and they decide to free the messenger’s kidnapped friend. While one of the guards leave to get the trapped member, Daryl takes out the 2nd guy while everyone else cleans up the area. The trapped member comes out with the 2nd guard. Michonne cuts down the extra security guy and leaves their newly freed friend with the messenger.

Rick and his crew enter the building where The Saviors may be. Rick comes upon a man sleeping inside one of the rooms, whom he decides to kill. Outside, Rick’s people keep watch with their weapons close nearby. Glenn and Heath come upon two more sleeping men in another room. Glenn decides to cut down one of the men, but he looks disturbed as he commits this violent act. Heath is unable to do what Glenn just did, so Glenn decided to do it for him. Images of grotesque kills are seen on the wall. Glenn takes note of these horrifying images.

Outside, Jesus, Gabriel and Tara sit in a car. Tara asks Gabriel if he still considers himself a priest. Gabriel says yes and knows that he is now trained to fight like the rest of his friends. Tara confesses to him that she lied to Denise about being able to fight and having done something like this before. Jesus and Gabriel tell her that she should realize she’s strong and fighting for someone she truly loves. Back inside The Saviors fort, Sasha and Abraham run into someone who’s awake. They get into a scuffle that leads to the alarm going off. Outside, Carol and Maggie take note of the alarm. Maggie and Carol argue over Maggie’s involvement in this mission. Carol finally convinces her to stay near the car after a zombie almost kills them both.

5. A Shootout Ensues Between Rick’s Allies and The Now Awoken Saviors

Jesus, Tara, Gabriel head into The Saviors building to lend their people more assistance. Inside, Rick and his people fight the newly alerted Saviors. A vicious gun battle ensues between everyone. Two members run outside, but they’re quickly shot down by Tara. Inside the building, the war between Rick’s group and The Saviors rages on. Glenn and Heath run into a room filled with even more guns. They shoot down everyone outside the room, then receive some unlikely aid from Jesus. Outside, Gabriel repeats a Bible scripture to a man before he’s forced to shoot him down.

6. It Turns Out Maggie and Carol Have Been Captured by Some Members of The Saviors

Daytime has finally arrived. Rick and his people open up a shut gate and arrive in a backyard full of cars and a satellite. Heath makes the decision to head back to Alexandria as he speaks with Glenn. Morgan can be seen working on something while images of Rick and his group take The Saviors fort for themselves. Morgan begins to break down while he’s building something. All of a sudden, a man races outside on a motorcycle. Rosita shoots him down and Daryl stands over him requesting more info. All of a sudden, a woman’s voice comes over a nearby Walkie Talkie. The woman tells them that they have Maggie and Carol. The group looks on with worried expressions on their faces as they realize they’re in deep trouble.
