Gordon Ramsay takes on the Beachfront Inn & Inlet Grill of Fort Pierce Florida on tonight’s episode of Hotel Hell. The official plot synopsis for tonight’s show reads, “Gordon helps a Florida owner regain control of his business and repay a loan from his brother.” For more information on the hotel, owner Brian Paul and the episode, read on below.
1. Owner Brian Paul Is Young and In Debt
Brian Paul is younger than most of the owners we see on Hotel Hell. He also owes his brother a ton of money, which is not the best recipe for success.
2. The Community Rallied Around the Establishment Despite the Poor Reviews
According to executive producer Lindsay Kugler:
We were very impressed with how tight the community was and willing to support each other. They knew Beachfront had problems and they were willing to give honest feedback.
In an interview with Stuart Magazine, Kugler said:
This episode gives an inside look on how hands-on you need to be when running a business. There are a lot of moving parts, and it’s very important to be a tough boss, especially when friends are involved. There are quite a few discoveries that Gordon Ramsay makes.
3. As a Beach Hotel, They Had Little Supplies
When Ramsay visits the hotel, he asks owner Brian Paul for a beach towel, but Paul realizes they only have one, saying, “We’re on the beach, we don’t have towels, what’s wrong with this picture?”
4. While Some Places Go Back to Their Old Habits, the Beachfront Inn Has Stuck to Changes
Stuart Magazine reports that since filming, there have been rooms renovated, improved menus, a lifeguard stand-turned-kiosk, a new deck, and more little touches.
5. The Hotel Recently Thanked Customers, Ramsay and Viewers Online
In a recent Facebook post, the hotel thanked it’s loyal customers and community, in addition to Gordon Ramsay, saying:
We’ve come a long way in a just a few years, and it only gets better from here! Thank you to everyone that has helped along the way. Thanks to Brian Paul and his crew for rebuilding our previously abandoned location from scratch. Thanks to Gordon Ramsay for recently narrowing our focus on Quality, Service, and revamping our menu. Special thanks to all of our customers, we hope that our re-investment in this business has been notable to you.
