On Sunday night, Kim Kardashian West released a vide on Snapchat of a phone conversation between her husband Kanye West and singer Taylor Swift. The call, which was on speaker, was made by West months ago to inform Swift of role in his song Famous. The conversation between the two musicians makes clear that this was before he released the song and that he was warning Swift of what he was going to say about her. The line in question:
For all my Southside niggas that know me best / I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that bitch famous.
He read the line to Swift in the call. Swift denies knowing the call was taped but cannot deny the fact that she gave West permission to say that about her and even thanked him for warning her.
Unsurprisingly, the Twitterverse exploded as soon as Kardashian posted the Snapchat.
Let’s start with the video that caused the drama:
Here’s a summary of what happened next:
As the tweet mentions, a handful of Swift’s squad members spoke out at her defense, including her bestie Selena Gomez and Chloe Grace Moretz.
Kardashian West’s sister Khloe Kardashian was not about to let Moretz hate on the klan, so she responded with this harsh comeback with a photo of what we are to believe is Moretz exposed behind (Moretz took to Twitter to confirm that that was not her in revealing second photo):
That wasn’t all the youngest Kardashian sister had to say, however. Clearly, she found this whole thing hilarious.
Swift took to Twitter and Instagram to defend herself and shame the couple, asking them to finally leave her alone.
Throughout all of this, and continuing through today, Swift/West bans are having a heyday on Twitter. Even celebrities who have nothing to do with the issue, like Snooki, joined the conversation.
