Singer Ariana Grande has officially postponed the rest of her Spring/Summer 2017 European tour after a suicide bombing killed 22 people and injured 59 others at her Manchester, England performance.
In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, Grande’s team confirmed that she has cancelled all her shows through her June 5 date in Switzerland. The statement reads:
Due to the tragic events in Manchester, the Dangerous Woman Tour with Ariana Grande has been suspended until we can further assess the situation and pay our proper respects to those lost. The London O2 shows this week have been canceled as well as all shows through June 5 in Switzerland. We ask at this time that we all continue to support the city of Manchester and all those families affected by this cowardice and senseless act of violence. Our way of life has once again been threatened but we will overcome this together.
Sources previously told TMZ that the entire tour will not happen as scheduled. A source also told CNN that the tour was put on hold.
Shortly after the attack, TMZ reported that Grande was “in hysterics.” The singer, who was not hurt in the attack and had just finished her concert, later tweeted, “broken. from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don’t have words.”
Sources then told TMZ that Grande plans to postpone the rest of the tour, including the May 25 date at London’s O2 Arena. She will soon send out an email to fans with updates.
Grande’s manager, Scooer Braun, also made it clear that dealing with Grande’s future tour dates wasn’t his top priority now. He sent out a tweet with a statement, offering his condolences to the families of those who lost loved ones.
Grande’s next performances are scheduled for Thursday, May 25 and Friday, May 26 at London’s O2 Arena. The arena’s management said that they have been in contact with Grande and will give an update “as soon as we have further information regarding the planned dates at The O2.”
According to Grande’s website, she had European tour dates scheduled through June 17. After that, the “Side to Side” singer is scheduled to start a Latin American tour on June 29 in Rio De Janeiro. The tour ends on July 12 and 13 with dates in Mexico City.

Grande, who shot to fame thanks to her role on Nickelodeon’s Victorious, is best known for the hits “Love Me Harder,” “Problem” and “Bang Bang.” She’s been touring to promote her third album, Dangerous Woman, which was released in May 2016. The tour started in the U.S. in February.
The attack left 22 people dead and 59 others injured. The victims included 26-year-old John Atkinson, 18-year-old Georgina Callandar and 8-year-old Saffie Rose Russos. The suicide bomber behind the attack was identified as Salman Abedi and ISIS has taken responsibility.
