In season two, he heads back to New York after visiting Italy to take culinary classes. The show is loosely based on Ansari’s own life experiences and was created with Alan Yang.

“Season one is about not knowing what you want. Season two is about wanting what you can’t have,” Ansari told Vogue in a recent interview. “We’ve always thought the show can be like real life: Sometimes certain people are in your life, and sometimes they’re not.”
The first season of Master of Noneearned near unanimous acclaim, especially the episode “Parents,” in which Dev and Brian meet their parents to talk about the sacrifices they made to live in America.
