On tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay visits the hometowns of each of the four remaining contestants. And, tonight’s show ends with one of the bachelors heartbroken. For viewers who do NOT want to know who gets sent home tonight, STOP READING NOW.
So, the four remaining men at the beginning of tonight’s episode are Dean Unglert, Eric Bigger, Bryan Abasolo and Peter Kraus. Unfortunately for one of them, their time on the show gets cut short at the rose ceremony and this man is Dean Unglert. The silver lining here is that Unglert gets to appear as a cast member on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, where he gets together with two different girls – Kristina and DLo. And, according to Reality Steve, Unglert is joined on the show by several other cast members from Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette.
During Unglert’s hometown date tonight, he ends up having a deep and emotional conversation with his estranged father. Perhaps the focus on this takes away from the romance between Unglert and Lindsay. ABC reports that:
Rachel’s final hometown visit brings her to Aspen, Colorado, where Dean lives. After a fun and scenic ATV ride, Dean attempts to prepare Rachel for his familial situation. His father is a Sikh Kundalini yogi, who provided very little love and support after his mother’s death. Father and son have been estranged for years. Rachel is determined to stand by Dean’s side no matter what. She is prepared to meet an unorthodox family; however, Dean is barely able to contain his intense feelings toward his father. Rachel and the other family members leave the house so that the father and son can have a heart-to-heart talk. What transpires is something that rarely has been seen before on “The Bachelorette.”
