WATCH: Gunshots Fired During Young Dolph Concert

Getty Young Dolph performs during the 2017 BET Experience in Los Angeles, California.

Young Dolph‘s performance in Houston, Texas was cut short this past Saturday, when shots rang out and a fight erupted on the floor level of the venue.

While the cause of the shooting remains undetermined, one concertgoer was able to record it mid-Snapchat. In the video, Dolph can be heard performing “Play Wit Yo B***h,” a diss record to Yo Gotti, before the sound of gunfire cuts things short and causes a panic in the audience.

In another video, taken from the same person, a fight appears to break out before any gunshots are heard– a fight that some are presuming to be the cause of the shooting in the first place. The camera can be seen near the DJ booth, but as the gunfire erupts, the camera loses focus and the sound of concertgoers vacating the venue can be heard.

As can be seen in the second video, Dolph (born Adolph Thorton, Jr.) also exits the stage just as the gunfire can be heard. There are no reports of any fatalities or injuries as a result of the shooting.

Other concertgoers took to social media to discuss what happened. ‘Shots rang out at Young Dolph concert right in front of my face” wrote one user, while others recounted their experience on video. Check out some of the most notable reactions below.

Young Dolph tweeted out after the concert was over, but he neglected to mention the shooting or the fight that broke out. “Headed to da after party,” he wrote, “Got a couple my Houston fans ridin wit me, I’m bout to let them pick my next single.” Most of his fans weren’t feeling it, however, as one user replied “After that shooting no thx.”

This isn’t the first time Young Dolph has been involved in a shooting. In February, the self-proclaimed “King of Memphis” was shot at up to a hundred times in Charlotte, North Carolina. No one was injured in the shooting, but rival rapper Blac Youngsta turned himself into the police a few months later, and was charged with six counts of discharging a firearm into occupied property and one count of felony conspiracy.

According to XXL, Youngsta (born Sammie Marquez Benson) is confident that he will be cleared of these charges, saying “I’m going to get to the bottom of a lot of this shit once I beat this [case].”
