Tonight is the winter finale of How to Get Away with Murder.
Luckily for HTGAWM fans, the show will return at 8pm ET on Thursday, Jan. 18, along with the two other Shondaland series– Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal.
Tonight’s How to Get Away with Murder finale is going to be an epic one. We don’t quite know if anyone is dead this season, but two bloody crime scenes have left us all concerned. According to TV Guide, it’s unlikely everyone will make it out of tonight’s midseason finale. But who’s life will come to an early end?
Last week, Annalise prepared to take her suit to court. She also ended her romance with Isaac because she feared their relationship was mirroring her own with her husband, Sam, also a therapist. The epic flash-forward scene at the end of the episode revealed a climax 48 hours after Connor has proposed to Oliver.
What do we know? There’s been an attack, the baby is in danger, and there’s a lot of blood. We don’t get to see the victim’s face. Tonight could be our chance.
And all is definitely not well on the Connor/Oliver front. A TV Guide sneak peek that you can check out here shows Connor demanding the engagement ring back. He is clearly upset that he’s been left out of talks of getting justice for Wes’ murder.
Tonight, we will find out details about both Wes’ murder, and the whereabouts of Laurel’s baby. Annalise will also learn something about one of Isaac’s patients that tempts her to drink again.
In a recent interview with Hello Giggles, Viola Davis was asked when she realized she was okay with being herself. She said that truthfully, it wasn’t until she began doing How to Get Away With Murder. Davis explains that with Annalise, she was cast in a role that “didn’t literally, in my brain, fit me.” She said that the feared she’d be considered miscast in the role. “So what I had to do was ask a really important question before I stepped on that sound stage. And that’s, ‘Why Viola, do you feel miscast?’ Well, ’cause I’m not thin, I’m not like that beauty ideal. ‘But why?’… And then you keep asking why, … until the a-ha moment comes, which is ‘Why not?’ What if exactly who you are is the right palette for Annalise Keating?’ And then that permeated in my life. I think sometimes that’s why what we do is so sacred, and so all-spiritual, is that when you get a character, you gotta live in that character. You gotta feel what they’re feeling, you gotta go through what they’re going through. It almost heals yourself in the process, and that’s what Annalise Keating has done for me. It’s healed me from a lot of those beauty restrictions.”
Be sure to check out the winter finale of HTGAWM tonight at 10pm ET on ABC.
