Miss Universe 2017 Voting: How to Use the Miss U App

Previously, at-home viewers could cast their votes for their favorite semi-finalists in the 2017 Miss Universe Pageant. The semi-finalists are set to be revealed when the competition starts tonight at 7 p.m. ET/PT (time delayed). Currently, the semi-finalist voting has closed. However, the Miss U App, which is featured below, is available for download and will show footage of the big event as well as behind-the-scenes and red carpet coverage. In addition, when it comes to real-time voting, at-home viewers will need to follow the on-air instructions, which are reported to be simple by the Miss Universe Organization. Voting is open to anyone 14 or older and the Miss Universe Organization states that, “Voting rounds are currently scheduled to take place four times: (1) during the swimsuit competition; (2) during the evening gown competition; (3) during the final question; and (4) after the final look.” Read on for details on how to vote.


HOW TO VOTE

According to the official Miss Universe site, these are several different ways to cast your votes:

Miss U App: Download the Miss U App from the iTunes or Google Play stores, log in using Facebook authentication, and follow the instructions to vote. There is a limit of 10 votes per account per round. You must click on the “Cast Your Vote” button for your votes to be counted. Download the app on iTunes by clicking here.

Website: Visit vote.missuniverse.com, login using Facebook authentication, and follow the instructions to vote. There is a limit of 10 votes per person. You must click on the “Cast Your Vote” button for your votes to be counted.

Twitter: Submit a tweet or a retweet with the hashtag #MissUniverse and a contestant specific hashtag announced on the Website. More specifically, to vote via Twitter, send in a tweet or submit a retweet with #MISSUNIVERSE and your contestant specific hashtag (#COUNTRY). Only tweets and retweets from public Twitter accounts will be counted. Also, feel free to retweet as well because they are included as votes. There is a limit of one hundred votes per account per round via this method during the open Voting Period.


WHEN TO VOTE

Any votes received outside of the Voting Period will not be counted, so be sure to follow the on-air instructions. Votes will not be counted if they are via tweets from accounts less than one day old; are from accounts with less than ten followers; are tweets from suspected spammers; are from location based services; or are tweets from automated feed tools.
