Season 6 of Vanderpump Rules is here and the cast is back with some old, as well as new, drama. But, before we get into this season’s show spoilers, one cast member is dealing with some real-life issues. Jax Taylor revealed last night on Twitter that his father is battling cancer and he said that his dad’s health is his main focus right now. Below is a photo of a young Taylor with his dad.
Now let’s get into what this season of VPR is all about. As usual, Taylor ends up in some hot water and Ariana Madix decides to play a recording for his girlfriend Brittany Cartwright. On the recording, Madix says Taylor is caught saying “horrible things” about Cartwright. In addition, cheating rumors appear to plague Taylor once again, or at least, that’s what previews of the new season lead fans to believe. Former cast member Faith Stowers is rumored to have hooked up with Taylor while he was with Cartwright and NBC reports that it has a major effect on other relationships as well this season. NBC writes, “Stassi tries to salvage her four-year relationship with Patrick, while Kristen devotes her energy to breaking up Jax and Brittany rather than focusing on her own relationship. Jax finds himself faced with a shocking accusation that could risk losing the best relationship he’s ever had. Brittany wonders whether or not to stand by her man and the SUR gang is torn down the middle as they must decide where their loyalties lie.”
Speaking of cheating, Lala Kent tells Scheana Marie Shay that her man Robert Valleta may have stepped out on her. In recent months, the couple’s romance has reportedly ended, but E! News has reported that Shay intends to get back together with Valleta. Shay revealed to E! that, “We’ve been friends and in each other’s lives for almost 12 years now, so that’s not going to change anytime soon. Just where we’re both at in our lives, in our living situations, a relationship is a little too much pressure on both ends.” She also added that, “It was just a lot of things going on in both of our personal lives and we’re kind of in different directions right now. But we have every intention of coming back together and it working out in the future. Just right now we both kind of need to do our own thing and still stay supportive in each other’s lives.” Valleta will definitely appear on the new season of the show.
When it comes to new fortune this season, Lisa Vanderpump has given Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz the opportunity to open a new restaurant named Tom Tom. In an interview with Us Weekly, Sandoval dished on the venture and revealed that, “Opening up a bar is something I always dreamed of doing, so when the opportunity presented itself … sometimes I get a little excited. I have a tendency to overstep my boundaries. But in any relationship, when you’re building a working relationship together, you have a tendency to bump heads and disagree. And obviously, me and Lisa come from different places. And we’re at different places in our lives. It’s been awesome in a lot of ways, but of course, there have been some hiccups. But we’re still there, getting things going.” Ariana Madix also told Us Weekly that she has been very supportive of Sandoval in opening the restaurant and that she’s working on a project with him as well. As for people who are on the outs this season, Scheana Marie Shay and Katie Maloney aren’t getting along well, even though Shay was a bridesmaid in her wedding last season. And, while Madix and her man Sandoval are going strong, they do go through some ups and downs this season as well. And, when it comes to James Kennedy, he’s still in the mix and dealing with a rumor about his sex-life.
