The time flew by for HGTV stars Tarek and Heather El Moussa. The “Flipping El Moussa” stars each took a moment on October 23 to share their love with the world as the couple celebrated the two-year anniversary of their wedding on social media.
Heather’s post was filled with photos from the couple’s Montecito, California wedding. Heather also reflected on their relationship, writing in her caption, “We have that love that makes you want to be better for one another. You have stayed true to the vows that you said to me two years ago: you have loved me for all that I am, you have protected my heart and put our family first- always- and you have shown me that I picked the right man.”
Tarek El Moussa Shares Relationship Advice on His Wedding Anniversary
In his post, Tarek shared photos of the couple on their wedding day and throughout their relationship, writing in the caption, “I sometimes pinch myself because I can’t believe this is my life. I have three amazing kids and an incredible wife. Before Heather, I really lived a different life and I know a lot of you can relate. I was honestly just sad and lonely without her. It was her who brought me back to life. It was her who taught me to love myself and others again. It was her who made me believe I deserved more. It was her who gave me hope ❤️.”
Tarek also offered some advice to followers that he has learned throughout the course of his relationship with Heather, which began in 2019. The couple first met on the Fourth of July while out on a mutual friend’s boat. They made their relationship official in August of that year then got engaged in July 2020.
Tarek’s advice came in an October 23 Instagram story. He told followers that his number one relationship tip was, “communication. It’s about talking and remembering we’re best friends. Planning together, setting goals together, having fun together, living our lives together. Making sure we’re living the same lives together so we’re not separate. And in order to do that, you’ve got to communicate.”
Tarek El Moussa is Still Recovering From a Broken Arm
Despite taking one-on-one time away to celebrate their anniversary, Tarek is still healing after breaking his arm in late September, as his advice video shows his arm in a cast and sling.
The “Flip or Flop” star shared a September 28 Instagram video that showed him starting the week working out and lifting weights and then cut to him finishing the week walking through an airport sporting the broken arm. He wrote in the caption, “I woke up Monday morning feeling SO motivated and at the peak of my fitness game… and then 10 hours later life humbled my a** real quick. 🤣 But a broken arm can’t stop me!”
When asked how he broke it in the comment section, Tarek confirmed that it was a mere accident. “tripped, fell, and landed wrong. I’m working on a cooler story 🤣” he explained.
