This month’s issue of Best Buy’s @Gamer Magazine has revealed the next two playable characters for the all-DC fighting game: Injustice: Gods Among Us. Added to the official roster are super villains Bane and Lex Luthor.
EventHubs.com posted a magazine scan that displays images of the two superhero baddies. Bane appears as his comic book self, with a black bodysuit and Venom tubes sticking into his veins. Bane, who made his appearance in last year’s The Dark Knight Rises film, is known in the DC Universe for his incredible power and high intelligence.
Lex Luthor can be seen sporting his Apokolips Warsuit, which puts him on an even playing field with his nemesis Superman. The suit enables him to harness his powers of super strength, flight, and the use of a force field.
NetherRealm Studios, the developers behind the game, have yet to release an official trailer that shows these two new characters in motion. However, a YouTube video displays the images seen in the latest issue of @Gamer Magazine:
Ed Boon, creative director at NetherRealm Studios/Warner Brothers, has been building up anticipation for the game through his Twitter feed. Boon alluded to another character reveal for the game when asked by a follower:
RT @rabeinator @noobde will there be a character reveal soon?EB: We are working on it.:)
