Where’s My Water? 2: Top 10 Tips and Cheats You Need to Know

Disney has returned to the world of mobile games with its sequel to one of its more popular puzzle games – Where’s My Water? 2. This physics-based puzzler commands players to transport water over to the pipe of a waiting alligator in his bathtub. Ducks also hang around for you collect, granted you can spare enough H20 to get them.

Things may start off easy, but the puzzles this game are based around can toughen up. With the addition of an energy meter that employs a free-to-play mechanic, it can be tough to complete puzzles in time without spending your real money.

Use these top tips/tricks/cheats to have an easier time experiencing this puzzler.

1. Wait It Out So You Don’t Have to Pay to Refill the Energy Bar

One of the newest features for Where’s My Water? 2 is the addition of the energy meter. Once that bar run out of energy, you’ll be given the option of paying to refill it or waiting for it to refill without paying. You could wait…or you cold just change your mobile device’s phone ahead by a few hours to start playing again. Connecting the game to Facebook will also give you a free energy refill.

2. Sometimes the Alligator Doesn’t Need All of Your Water

For some of the stages in this puzzler, you don’t need to transport all of the water into the alligator’s pipe. You just have to get enough water into the pipe to make that alligator happy. Use some of your water to collect ducks and leave just enough left over to move into the pipe.

3. Start Digging From The Bottom Sometimes

Modojo.com noted that starting your digging process from the bottom pays off better than working from the top sometimes:

With Where’s My Water? 2, you might think starting from the top and working your way to the bottom is ideal. With some levels, though, it actually helps to dig your route from the bottom and work your way up. This tactic comes into play in Level 4: Floodgate, where you need to avoid the ducks at all cost. Plan a route so water doesn’t splash the duck in the upper right corner – but you also don’t want to have it spilling over the side, where another duck is waiting. Dig a path on both the right side and the left to the other transport gate, so that water reaches both sides. From there, dig a dual path at the top to open the first transport gate and a path for the water to go. Do it right and it’ll pour into the waiting pipe, without touching any ducks.

4. Here’s How to Beat Those Duck Rush Stages

Modojo.com also noted that these tips are essential for players who want to beat those Duck Rush stages:

With the new Duck Rush stages, you’ll actually need to keep digging to prevent the water from reaching the top, where it falls out of view. To do this, dig as wide a path as possible so that the water remains level, then divide it up so you collect the six scattered ducks. This type of stage may take more than one try to get through, but there’s no penalty, aside from refilling your energy.

5. Create These Situations to Pick Up Ducks Faster

Getting water to the top of the stage to pick up ducks is tough, but there’s way to do it. Cut a bowl shape into the dirt, then craft a ramp-like formation into it too. This could help launch your water up into another side of the pipe and up into the ari to collect ducks.

6. Pick Up Ducks and Complete Challenges to Unlock New Puzzles

Picking up more ducks and finishing more challenges leads to unlocking new stages and special ducks. Special ducks range from an astronaut to a gladiator-themed duck. These special ducks are mostly cosmetic add-on’s that don’t impact the gameplay, but they’re still cool to have.

7. Use More Than One Finger to Dig Out Dirt Faster

WriterParty.com provided some tips on what it takes to clear out the dirt faster:

Sometimes, you have to work very quickly in order to hit all of the unlocks and soak up all of the ducks in one stage. To speed it up, use multiple fingers to swipe away dirt at the same time. This can often make it FAR easier to hit ducks and still get your water into Swampy’s shower.

8. Return to Old Stages to Get More Ducks

WriterParty.com also notes that returning to older levels to collect more ducks is a legit tactic:

If you’re stuck on an area and you don’t have enough ducks to pass through a gate to the next area, go back to old stages, especially challenges, and start playing them again to try to hit more ducks. Challenges are often the best way to earn more ducks later on, because the first time you play them, they’ll throw you off, but play them again and they become easier due to your experience with the game.
