While it’s easy to say “no,” e-sports are growing vastly huge. A sold out Staples Center filled with “League of Legends” fans, a Sports Center looking set for commenting on the game, and an entire “underworld” of gamers that are absolutely voracious to watch “the game,” except instead of being physical, it’s a bunch of dudes mousing around at rates you wouldn’t believe: “6 keystrokes of the mouse every second.”
It’s a fascinating watch and there may very well be a time when Americans can turn on the TV and see a video game — it’s already happened in Korea.
