As expected, this year’s underappreciated RPG Lords of the Fallen is getting a sequel. Although we don’t have any of the details just yet — and probably won’t until well into 2015 — the executive producer of the franchise Tomasz Gop made the announcement on the his own official Facebook page.
“We can confirm that conceptual work of the Lords of the Fallen 2 is underway,” Gop noted.
For those that are unaware, Lords of the Fallen is an extremely tough tactical RPG that has been compared to Dark Souls, although it’s not quite as unforgiving. We named it as one of our Top 5 Most Underappreciated Games of 2014, praising the story of Harkyn (the game’s protagonist) and the impressive graphics.
It’s doubtful that we’d see Lords of the Fallen 2 anytime in 2015, but it’d be reasonable to expect it at some point in 2016, with a likely announcement at E3 2015. Either way, stay tuned to Heavy’s Gaming section for all news relating to Lords of the Fallen 2.
