PlayStation Now Subscriptions Coming in January

According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, subscriptions to PlayStation Now will be available on the PlayStation 4 in North American starting January 13, with other regions and platforms to follow.

The game rental service has been available for several months, allowing users to stream a library of more than 100 PS3 games to Sony consoles without the need to download or install them. The subscription service will allow unlimited access to the catalog for $19.99 a month or $44.99 for three months.

“There’s strong value with the subscription, as you’re getting access to over a hundred great games and lots of hours of game time,” PlayStation Now Director of Marketing Peter Jamshidi says in the post. “What’s more, we will be adding even more games over time, so you will always have something great to play”

A free, seven-day trial of the service will be available when it launches.

A celebratory PS4 theme will be available to download until January 31, and those who do will be entered into a drawing to win a year’s subscription to PlayStation Now.
