4. An Infamous Glitch Will Be Fixed For One of The Collection’s More Popular Games
Rare is throwing players who had to endure an infamous glitch for the NES Battletoads. Gamespresso reported on this welcome fix to one of the collection’s toughest games below:
Rare, the developer, of these titles announced at Comic-Con that there are plans to remove the infamous two-play glitch from the game despite the bug being a “part of the Battletoads legend.” Battletoads was originally released in 1991 for the NES and is known for it’s difficulty; the two player glitch only makes the game more difficult. This only affected the co-op play of the game and once the eleventh level had been reached in co-op the second players’ controls would stop working. In order for them to continue playing the first player would need to give up their remaining lives.
5. Several Other Extras Will Be Featured That Makes This Release A Major Remastered Collection
Some of the older games on Rare Replay will feature scanlines on its graphical output, which can be accessed by simply clicking on the right analog stick. A special rewind feature can also be used, which should help players return to earlier areas of a game. “Snapshots” will present special challenges for each game, such as timed scoring challenges. A special limited edition of the game (which can only be bought from the UK) comes with a Battletoads T-shirt.
