Microsoft Reveals List of 104 Backward Compatible Xbox 360 Games For Xbox One

The New Xbox One Experience is arriving sooner than expected. On November 12, 2015, Microsoft will update its latest home console with new visual and mechanical upgrades via a new user interface. One of the most standout features for this new experience is Xbox 360 backward compatibility.

This morning, Microsoft unveiled the initial listing of games that will be available through this much-requested feature. Several big time publishers, such as 2K Games, Sega, Electronic Arts and Microsoft Studios themselves have ported over a bunch of big name titles.

You’ll have the ability to play these titles on your Xbox One through a physical disc or through a digital license on November 12. We have the full list below, so see if your favorite Xbox 360 games are now playable on the Xbox One:

Xbox One Backwards Compatibility

If you’re concerned about your DLC for any of these backward compatible Xbox 360 games, don’t worry. You’ll be able to re-install all of it for a specific game. All you have to do is select the “My Games and Apps” tile. Then select any of your Xbox 360 games, open up its menu options and click on “Manage Game.” The image placed above should be what you see next.

Halo Reach

Microsoft went on to announce some additional titles that will arrive at a later date. Starting in December 2015, more backwards compatible Xbox 360 games will join this list. The extra games that have been confirmed thus far includes Halo Reach, Halo Wars, Call of Duty: Black Ops, BioShock, BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite and Skate 3. From this point forward, all Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles will become backward compatible as well.
