Nintendo has announced their next Nintendo Direct event and surprisingly, it will not focus on the upcoming Nintendo NX, but rather the 3DS.
The company announced in a tweet on their @NintendoEurope account and on their official site that the stream will air on September 1 at 7 a.m. PT. With the Nintendo NX launch just around the corner and the lack of information we currently have regarding the console and its software, their decision not to talk about what upcoming Nintendo NX games we can expect is surprising. The 3DS is getting some more attention lately with the impending release of Pokémon Sun and Moon, however, so perhaps this is actually a wise move on Nintendo’s part.
You can watch the stream on the official Nintendo Twitch and Youtube channel, as well as here at Heavy.com, so be sure to check back on Thursday.
