Alolan Rattata in ‘Pokemon Go’? New ‘CoroCoro’ Scan Shows Dark-Type Rattata

(CoroCoro)

The September 2016 issue of CoroCoro has leaked, and along with new Pokemon Sun & Moon information about Ultra Beasts, an Alolan Rattata is shown next to a screengrab for Pokemon Go. Could this mean a crossover sooner than we thought?

According to Joe Merrick, founder of Serebii.net, the answer is “no.” After the leak of the scans, he tweeted:

Pokemon Go is made by Niantic, an American software development company headquartered in San Francisco. It created the popular mobile game in partnership with Nintendo and The Pokemon Company, but Niantic has no real involvement with Pokemon beyond Pokemon Go.

It is unclear when second generation Pokemon like Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile will become available in Pokemon Go, much less Alolan forms.
