‘Pokemon Go’ Valentine’s Event : Updated Egg Hatch Guide

pokemon go

(Niantic)

If you’re noticing that unexpected Pokemon are hatching from your newly captured eggs, you’re not alone. Thanks to the Valentine’s eventPokemon Go has changed up the distances required to hatch different Pokemon eggs. The 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km eggs that you used to expect for different Pokemon species are all different now. We have an updated list below of how they’ve changed.

Usually, lower kilometer eggs gave trainers more common Pokemon. But thanks to the Valentine’s event, all of this is changing up a bit. Trainers with The Silph Road determined what the new egg hatching chart looks like. It appears that some of the Pokemon were moved from 5 km to 2 km, for example, clearing up some room in the 5 km egg hatch group. Meanwhile, some 10 km species were moved to 5 km. At this point, since Niantic hasn’t said anything official about the changes, it’s unclear if things will revert back to normal once the Valentine’s event is over. Here’s what you can expect from eggs you’ve captured since the Valentine’s event started. (Note: This list is constantly being updated. If you hatch an egg caught after the Valentine’s event started that is different from what is in the list below, let us know in the comments.)
