Before E3 this weekend, we have learned a lot more about what you will get when you pre-order Star Wars Battlefront II. We know that we will see some prequel content in the EA Play stream showcasing the “Assault on Theed” as the series takes us back to Naboo. The event will feature 40 YouTubers in a 20v20 match and we might even see new heroes such as Yoda and Darth Maul enter the fray.
For those of you who pre-order Star Wars Battlefront II, you’ll be treated with access to the beta before anybody else and you’ll get instant access to Yoda’s Epic Lightsaber Mastery Star Card, available while supplies last. The beta will be available for all platforms this fall.
You’ll also get access to the following items if you pre-order:
- Exclusive Star Wars: The Last Jedi outfits for Kylo Ren and Rey
- Instant access to six hero and starfighter epic Star Cards
- Kylo Ren: Power Reach and Solid Freeze
- Rey: Far Sight and Deep Mind
- Starfighters: Enhanced Auxiliary Power and First Order ship upgrade
- Instant access to Star Wars: The Last Jedi Millennium Falcon with updated sounds and appearance
If you opt for the Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition, you’ll not only get three-day early access to the beta but you’ll also get upgraded versions of all four trooper classes. You can read more about the pre-order bonuses on the Star Wars Battlefront II blog.
We gave also learned a bit about the campaign ahead of E3. Star Wars Battlefront II will put us in the shoes of Iden Versio, a member of the Empire’s elite Inferno Squad, and will start us at the events following the destruction of the second Death Star following Return of the Jedi and lead us to the destruction of the Starkiller Base, as seen in The Force Awakens. We have also learned the upcoming book, Inferno Squad, will tie into the Star Wars Battlefront II story. This is the second book that will tie into the world of Star Wars Battlefront, with the first being Alexander Freed’s Star Wars Battlefront: Twilight Company.
Star Wars Battlefront II is coming November 17 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
