Group A, Series 2 is finished and all games have been decided. This afternoon was surprisingly brief; so with four series decided here’s where Group A stands as of right now;
|Team||Series Score||Game Score||Points|
|LGD Gaming||2 – 0 – 0||4 – 0||4|
|Team Liquid||2 – 0 – 0||4 – 0||4|
|Evil Geniuses||0 – 2 – 0||2 – 2||2|
|Team Secret||0 – 2 – 0||2 – 2||2|
|TNC Pro Team||0 – 1 – 0||1 – 1||1|
|Infamous||0 – 1 – 0||1 – 1||1|
|Team Empire||0 – 1 – 1||1 – 3||1|
|iG Vitality||0 – 1 – 1||1 – 3||1|
|Fnatic||0 – 0 – 2||0 – 4||0|
LGD-Gaming look great and Team Liquid are right on their heels. Evil Geniuses and Team Secret are oddly okay right now. They just need to secure points where they can. Let’s get into each match;
Team Secret vs Infamous
I’m going to reserve any opinions about Infamous until they play second series. Now about Team Secret, their game one draft was inspired. Game 2 makes me sad, Team Secret never drafted an answer to Anti-Mage they proceeded to watch him slowly farm his way to dominance. Game Two was exhausting for players and fans alike.
Team Liquid vs Fnatic
I did enjoy seeing Fnatic get their teeth kicked in, again. Solid drafting and execution from Team Liquid; I’m really looking forward to watching the Team Liquid vs Evil Geniuses series. Fnatic could still manage a tie against TNC Pro Team but these two losses will be hard to shake off.
LGD-Gaming vs Team Empire
Team Empire looked a little better in game two and they managed to take the game to past the 30 minute mark. If LGD-Gaming can keep playing like they did in this series they will probably 2-0 Team Secret.
Evil Geniuses vs iG. Vitality
Game one Evil Geniuses are the team I believe can contend for the Aegis of Champions. Game two Evil Geniuses are a team that look like they’re going to fight just for a upper bracket draw. I don’t think Team Empire are capable of the same highs as EG but both teams would benefit from getting their act together.
