Former NFL star Herschel Walker will spend quite a bit of time on ESPN’s Bristol campus today in an effort to promote his upcoming mixed martial arts debut at “Strikeforce: Miami.”
The 47-year-old Walker will make his professional fighting debut on the night before the Pro Bowl and one week before the Super Bowl. The mainstream sports media, generally dismissive of mixed martial arts, is expected to focus heavily on the former NFL running back as he prepares to take on Greg Nagy on Jan. 30.
Walker will first appear on ESPN2’s “ESPN First Take” at 11:40 a.m. ET. After that appearance, he’ll make his way to the ESPNews set and round out the day with an appearance on the “Scott Van Pelt” radio show.
