Rob McCullough vs.Thomas Denny Set For Tachi Palace Fights 5

Former WEC lightweight champion “Razor” Rob McCullough will look to get back to his winning ways when he takes on journeyman fighter Thomas “Wildman” Denny at Tachi Palace Fights 5. The bout will be contested in the welterweight division and will headline a stacked Tachi Palace Fights fight card.

Tachi Palace Fights 5 will take place July 9th at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California.

The card will feature three-title bouts, one of which includes DREAM standout Cole Escovedo defending his bantamweight title against top contender Michael McDonald. Also on the card, will be UFC veterans “Bad” Brad Blackburn and John “The Natural” Alessio in a welterweight special attraction fight.

Thomas “Wildman” Denny has been a veteran of mixed martial arts for 11 years and has compiled a 27-18 record. Despite facing the likes of Georges St. Pierre, Nick Diaz, Pat Militech, and Joe Stevenson, the “Wildman” has never won the big one over a top fighter. On July 9th, Denny will get a chance to defeat the Rob McCullough and put him on the map.

Rob McCullough has gone 3-2 in his last five bouts and will need this all-important win over Denny to begin to revive his career. The former WEC lightweight champion last saw action when he tasted defeat to WEC newcomer Karen Darabedyan. Should McCullough lose here, this will undoubtedly bring him one step farther from returning to the big shows.
