The Ultimate Fighting Championship is preparing to make its way to Boston, Massachusetts for the first time after the sport’s sanctioning in the state this August and the promotion is not leaving anything out of the event, as a Fan Expo will be included in the weekend festivities. On both August 27 and 28, Boston’s Hynes Convention Center will play host to the Expo, giving fans an opportunity to experience the UFC on a different level.
The Expo is expected to span 200,000 square feet with over 150 top vendors. Fans will have access to apparel, fight gear, video games, supplements, and much more. This event will come just three months after the upcoming Las Vegas Fan Expo, which is set for the end of this month to complement UFC 114.
“I think everyone knows how much it means to me to bring the UFC to Boston and to give the fans this two-day event packed with amazing UFC experiences,” stated Dana White.
UFC 118 is set to feature a main event between lightweight champion Frank Edgar and BJ Penn in a rematch from their UFC 112 five-round technical battle. Also on the card, Boston-native Kenny Florian will meet Gray Maynard in a lightweight contenders match up, while a match between Randy Couture and James Toney is expected to make its way onto the main card.
