Carlos Condit and Dan Hardy have agreed to face off in a bout at UFC 120 in October.
Sources close to the event confirmed the news to HeavyMMA.com on Monday evening. MMAWeekly.com was the first to report the story on Monday afternoon. Our sources also indicated that the UFC is working on another bout for the main event, while Hardy/Condit would assume co-headliner status.
UFC 120 is expected to take place October 16 at London’s O2 Arena. It will be televised in the United States on Spike TV via tape delay.
Hardy was originally scheduled to face Dustin Hazelett at the event, but Hazelett pulled out of the fight due to the close proximity of his wedding to the event. The British striker hasn’t fought since his March defeat to Georges St. Pierre, but he’ll take part in a Fan Q&A session this Friday prior to the UFC 116 weigh-ins in Las Vegas. HeavyMMA.com will be on hand for the event, so we’ll provide our usual video and text coverage.
