UFC lightweight contender Kenny Florian has stayed very active in mixed martial arts, but has been much more active outside the cage as of late with his announcing job on ESPN’s MMA Live. Now, the fighter and commentator just added a few more jobs to his busy schedule.
The lightweight top contender is set to join the broadcast teams of the UFC and WEC as an announcer for “The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale” and WEC 49. Florian will join Todd Harris to commentate for WEC 49 on June 20, but before that, he will fill in for Joe Rogan on June 19 for this season of “The Ultimate Fighter’s” finale on Spike TV. The two broadcast bookings were confirmed by Florian’s lawyer to MMAjunkie.com.
Florian follows the likes of Randy Couture and Frank Mir into the commentators booth, which has become a growing trend for fighters in recent history. However, Florian has become somewhat of a usual on broadcast teams, along with his weekly gig on MMA Live, which he will also be a part of prior to his busy weekend later this June.
