The eleventh season of “The Ultimate Fighter” came to a close this past weekend with “The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale” featuring the two season’s finalists, middleweights Kris McCray and Court McGee. The Spike TV broadcast average two million viewers during the three hour time slot, peaking at 2.4 million for the main event of the evening between McCray and McGee.
The broadcast also came out on top in reaching the highly-coveted male demographic of 18-34 year olds, while bringing in an average household rating of 1.4.
All figures were reported by Spike TV earlier today, three days following the Saturday night event.
The season finale featured the second round submission that earned McGee the title of “The Ultimate Fighter”, but also gave fans several other reasons to tune in. Spencer Fisher and Dennis Siver represented the lightweight division on the main card, putting on an entertaining striking match, while Keith Jardine and Matt Hamill battled it out in the Fight of the Night. The main card and broadcast also featured a middleweight bout that saw this season’s bad boy Jamie Yager lose to Rich Attonito.
