“UFC Prelims” Special Returns For UFC 119

The Spike-televised “UFC Prelims” special will return for September’s UFC 119 event in Indianapolis.

Initial reports indicated that Spike TV had no plans to broadcast the pre-PPV special for the event, but have since changed their minds and have targeted C.B. Dolloway vs. Joe Doerksen and Joey Beltran vs. Matt Mitrione for the television special.

The change was reported by MMA Junkie. Spike TV confirmed the plans with HeavyMMA.com this afternoon.

UFC 119 takes place September 25 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The main event features the long-awaited rematch between Frank Mir and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

Dolloway most recently scored a victory over Goran Reljic at UFC 110 in February. He is 4-1 in the UFC since losing to Amir Sadollah in the finals of the seventh season of The Ultimate Fighter. Doerksen is just 2-5 in the UFC, but landed an upset win over Tom Lawlor at UFC 113 via submission.

Mitrione was the “bad guy” of the tenth Ultimate Fighter season. Since leaving the show, he has defeated the now-retired Marcus Jones and Kimbo Slice. Beltran is also perfect in the UFC with victories over Rolles Gracie and Tim Hague.
