A featherweight tilt between Diego Nunes and Tyler Toner is set for the preliminary card of “WEC 51: Aldo vs. Gamburyan” this September in Broomfield Colorado.
The promotion made the undercard bout official earlier today.
Toner and Nunes, who are coming off victories at WEC 48 and WEC 49, respectively, join a preliminary card which includes former featherweight champion Mike Brown vs. Cole Province, a lightweight bout between Ed Ratcliff and Chris Horodecki, and three other untelevised bouts.
The six-fight undercard will serve as the night’s early action, preceding yet another stacked WEC main card. The September 30 event features a featherweight championship bout between dominant title-holder Jose Aldo and top contender Manny Gamburyan. The card also features the return of Miguel Torres, who faces off against Charlie Valencia, as well as the return of Chan Sung Jung and Leonard Garcia in each fighters first bout since their Fight of the Year candidate at WEC 48.
