Australia native Kyle Noke will return to his homeland when he faces former Ultimate Fighter housemate Chris Camozzi at UFC 127 on Feb. 27.
MMAWeekly.com first reported the bout, and HeavyMMA.com has confirmed that verbal agreements for the fight are in place.
The event will take place in Sydney and is headlined by a welterweight contender’s bout between B.J. Penn and Jon Fitch. Australian lightweight star George Sotiropoulos is also expected to face Dennis Siver.
Noke, a former bodyguard for famed animal activist Steve Irwin, has picked up victories over Josh Bryant and Rob Kimmons since being elimiated from the TUF 11 household. Camozzi was forced out of the TUF 11 competition due to a broken jaw, but has since scored Octagon wins over James Hammortree and Dongi Yang.
