Tickets for Strikeforce’s February 12 event, which features the highly-anticipated heavyweight Grand Prix, go on sale next week.
The promotion announced today that “Strikeforce Insiders” will have the first opportunity to get their hands on tickets, starting at 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday, January 12. The presale offer will run until 10 p.m. ET the next day.
Then, on Friday, January 14, tickets will go on sale to the public, beginning at 10 a.m. ET. Fans can make their purchases at the IZOD Center box office, online at Ticketmaster.com and Strikeforce.com, or by calling (800)-745-3000.
The event, which is set for the aforementioned IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, will feature an eight-man, single-elimination tournament. In the main event of the card, Fedor Emelianenko returns to action against Antonio Silva, while Andrei Arlovski and Sergei Kharitonov are set to meet in the evening’s co-main event.
The other half of the tournament, which will take place at a later event, have yet to be announced. However, a match up between Josh Barnett and former top contender Brett Rogers is expected, as is a bout between Fabricio Werdum and heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem.
